Street Strategies Intermediate Training

  • Experienced riders only – Must pass a screening/qualifier riding evaluation at the start of the riding portion of the class. Recent experience REQUIRED (i.e Dirt to street; experience with permit or expired permit)

  • You ride your bike in this class.

  • Shorter class than the Novice class; same skills practiced for the test.
  • Develop good riding habits and skills at the same time!
  • Level I and Level II tests given during this class.

  • Riders under 18 must be signed up by a parent/guardian in person before the range.

  • Successful completion of this class completes both Level I and Level II requirements for an endorsement.

What is Subsidized vs. Non-Subsidized?

The State of  Washington Motorcycle Safety Program contributes to the fee for Washington residents and active military. Seats in classes may be all subsidized, all non-subsidized or a mix. Check the schedule of classes for listings.

Required Equipment:

  • Helmet: Quality DOT approved helmet in good condition. Helmet and riding gear subject to instructor approval.

  • Eye protection: Helmet face shield, safety glasses or sunglasses, etc.
  • Gloves: Sturdy full fingered gloves or motorcycle gloves
  • Boots: Sturdy over-the-ankle boots, (NO athletic, street shoes or heels)
  • Clothing: Sturdy long pants, jacket and/or long sleeves
  • Rain gear: Be prepared for weather! Layered clothing, hat, waterproof gloves and boots, rain jacket and rain pants
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Your motorcycle must have/be:
    -Street legal, current license plate and registration
    -Functional front and rear brakes
    -No fuel, oil, coolant or other fluid leaks
    -Tires with legal tread (2/32″) and proper inflation

    -insured with proof of insurance

  • If on the day of testing the rider and/or motorcycle do not meet requirements, the class will NOT be conducted and the rider/applicant will
    not be given a refund or reschedule.

  • Modified exhausts are not permitted

Other Considerations:

  • Food (lunch), snacks and water (Sorry, no food or services close to the site)
  • Be prepared for the weather! We ride rain or shine! You will be outdoors five plus hours, so plan accordingly.
  • No weapons or firearms.

Cancellation, Reschedule and Refund Policy:

Your payment reserves your seat in the class – pre-payment is required. For a refund OR to reschedule, you must cancel prior to class start date.
See fee schedule below. A $10 processing fee will be charged for all cancellations and reschedules.
Cancel or Reschedule Fees: (reschedule depends on class availability)
–  8 days or more: full refund/reschedule ($10 process fee)
–  5-7 days: 50% refund/applied;
–  3-4 days: 25% refund/applied;
–  less than 3 days prior to class start date: NO refund. NO reschedule.
– There are NO REFUNDS unless you cancel prior to class start date as listed above.
– There are NO REFUNDS for: No Shows, Late Arrivals, or Dismissals.   NO EXCEPTIONS!
